Mission Gas Company, San Antonio

The office is open Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM. We do not make routine deliveries outside business hours, but we offer 24 hour emergency delivery service. Weekend deliveries are for emergency calls only, with some Saturday deliveries added as the winter schedule builds. We are closed on Sundays.

What counts as an emergency

A smell of gas

Inside or outside, however faint. This is always an emergency.

You have run out

An empty tank is a safety issue, not only an inconvenience, because the system has to be leak checked before it is used again.

Damage to the tank or regulator

A vehicle strike, flooding, or anything that has hit the equipment.

No heat or no hot water

We do our best to offer same day service, Monday to Friday, for no-heat calls for will-call customers. Emergency service calls are available for a fee outside of business hours.

If you smell gas

  1. Get everyone out

Leave the building immediately, and take everyone with you.

  2. Do not make a spark

No light switches, no appliances, no phones, no vehicles. Do not use anything electrical on your way out.

  3. Shut the gas off, only if you can do it safely

Turn the valve on the tank clockwise. If you cannot reach it safely, leave it.

  4. Call 911

From a neighbor's house or from outside, well away from the building.

  5. Then call us

Use the call button at the top of this page. We will send someone out.

  6. Do not go back inside

Not for any reason, until a qualified technician has checked the system and cleared it.

If you have run out of propane

Close the valve on the tank and call the office on 210-633-0721. Do not try to relight a pilot yourself. A qualified technician has to leak check the system and relight it before it is safe to use, and that is required by law, not a preference.

While you are waiting, never bring outdoor equipment inside to keep warm. A grill, a camp stove, a patio heater or a generator in a house or a garage produces carbon monoxide, which has no smell and kills people every winter.
