Seventy years of propane, from one San Antonio family business
Mission Gas Company has fueled homes and businesses across Bexar County and South Texas for over seventy years, and we are still locally owned and operated.
Our story
Mission Gas Company was started in San Antonio over 70 years ago, operating under the name Perfecto Gas Company and selling both propane and butane.
The name changed to Mission Butane Gas Company about 50 years ago, and today we operate as Mission Gas Company. The name Mission comes from the four Spanish frontier missions in our vicinity.
We have been family owned and operated for over seventy years, and we are currently under the direction of our third owners. That continuity is why a customer can call and talk to someone who knows the route, the tank and the history.

Mission Gas is a member of the Texas Propane Gas Association and the National Propane Gas Association. Our Texas Railroad Commission LP-Gas license number is 30458, and all employees are certified by the state regulatory authority.
